受连续降雨和上游来水共同影响，长江铜陵段及铜陵市河湖水位持续上涨。铜陵市防汛抗旱指挥部决定于7月6日10时对枞阳县、义安区、郊区启动防汛四级应急响应。
截至7月6日7时，长江铜陵段坝埂头站水位11.55米，超设防水位0.05米。主要河湖方面，菜子湖水位13.57米，超设防水位0.07米；白荡湖水位12.66米，超设防水位0.16米；枫沙湖水位12.07米，超设防水位0.57米。
