当地时间19日，世卫组织总干事谭德塞表示，世卫组织对汉坦病毒的评估仍然是，其在全球范围内的风险较低。截至目前，已报告11例病例，其中3例死亡，自5月2日世卫组织首次获悉疫情以来，尚未报告新增死亡病例。
谭德塞表示，目前情况来看，没有任何迹象表明暴发了更大规模疫情。但情况可能会发生变化，世卫组织敦促所有受影响的国家继续密切监测。
