格隆汇4月20日｜英国财政部次官James Murray表示，英国政府将要求各部门寻找更多节省空间，并实现公共部门部分职能的自动化。财政部计划在下一次多年期支出审查中加大寻找节省空间的力度，人工智能（AI）可能为精简公共部门职能提供机遇。在上一次支出审查中，所有政府部门已被要求在2028-29财年前实现至少5%的成本节省和效率提升。
