我们提供均衡而全面的课程体系,旨在培养学生的终身学习能力。学校为七、八年级学生开设基础课程(融合中国国家课程与校本国际课程),九、十年级学生修读剑桥IGCSE课程,十一、十二年级学生则可选择国际文凭大学预科课程(IBDP)或英国高级水平课程(A-Level)。

乐团实验室(Orchestra Lab)与音乐大师课(Music Master Class) 是德胜国际音乐方向的两大特色实践平台。Orchestra Lab 打破传统排练模式,由职业演奏家与校内乐团联袂,将学生原创作品搬上舞台,完成从谱面到现场演出的全流程历练。同期开设的钢琴大师课则由国内外一线钢琴家驻校执教,通过一对一分层指导与公开演评,帮助学生攻克技术难点、深化音乐诠释。二者共同构建“实战演练+名师点拨”的双轨体系,让学生在真实演出情境中提升专业素养与舞台表现力。

在我校的教育体系中,由校园社区共同决策年度发展方向,是至关重要的一环。以2025-2026学年主题的确立为例,我们践行了这一理念:从集体共创到民主决议,校长在开学典礼上发起倡议,学生通过工作坊贡献智慧,提出多项主题提案;从充分审议到广泛投票,随后经由PCCG(学生关怀与职业指导)课程深度讨论,最终由全校超过700名师生家长共同投票,选定“Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow(蓄力,赴新程)”作为新学年主题。这一过程不仅体现了我们对集体智慧的尊重,更将学生参与切实融入学校治理,确保我们的发展道路凝聚了最广泛的社区共识。

Founded in 2011, Desheng School (International) (DSI) was among the first cohort of International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools in Guangdong Province, renowned for its exceptional educational practice and outstanding academic results. Grounded in Shunde with a global outlook, DSI is committed to nurturing independent lifelong learners who strive for excellence and serve with compassion.
Since its establishment, our students have consistently achieved remarkable academic success. This includes three students attaining the perfect score of 45 points in the IB Diploma Programme examinations, while the school's average IB score has led the Greater Bay Area for multiple consecutive years.

We offer a balanced and comprehensive curriculum designed to cultivate lifelong learning skills. The school provides a Foundation Programme (an integration of Chinese National Curriculum and school-based international curriculum) for Grades 7 and 8, Cambridge IGCSE for Grades 9 and 10, and IB Diploma Programme or A Levels for Grades 11 and 12.

These diverse pathways allow students with different learning needs and goals to flourish at DSI. A wide range of subjects, including Theatrical and Cinematic Arts, Arts and Design, Music, Computer Science, and AI, allows for both academic and talent exploration.
To meet the diverse learning paces and developmental needs of our students, Desheng School (International) has launched the S Subject Programme (S = Supplementary), creating an advanced pathway beyond the standard curriculum.
The programme adopts a precise differentiated teaching approach, providing high-level research and competition coaching in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Sciences, and Economics for students with strong academic potential and a drive for deeper learning. Led by a team of academic specialists — including doctorate degree holders and graduates from the University of Cambridge and other world-class institutions — the programme delivers small-group, tailored instruction to truly embody education suited to individual ability. It enables every capable student to accelerate along their own academic track, moving from keeping up to excelling ahead.

Our Experiential Programmes offer interdisciplinary, hands-on learning across areas such as historical inquiry, cross-disciplinary research, problem-solving, service learning, and career exploration. One of the key outcomes of this program is the long-term projects students develop through their community service.

Early involvement in service learning enables students to plan and implement CAS projects, including service at local centres for autistic children, nursing homes, rural village primary schools, fundraising events, arts galas, and more. These initiatives, guided by the Student Governing Council, develop empathy, initiative, and leadership among our learners.

The Orchestra Lab and Music Master Class are two signature performance platforms within the music stream at DSI. The Orchestra Lab moves beyond traditional rehearsal models by bringing together professional musicians and the school ensemble, to stage student-original works — guiding students through the full process from score to live performance. Complementing this, the Music Master Class features residencies by leading pianists and instrumentalists, who deliver tailored one‑to‑one coaching and public masterclasses to help students refine technique and deepen musical interpretation. Together, these programmes create a dual-track framework of ‘performance immersion’ and ‘master guidance’, enabling students to advance their artistry and stagecraft in authentic professional settings.

In our educational system, involving the entire school community in setting our annual development direction is essential. The selection of the 2025–2026 school theme exemplifies this practice: from collective brainstorming to democratic decision-making. At the Opening Ceremony, the Principal initiated the process, after which students contributed ideas through workshops and proposed several theme options. These proposals were then discussed in depth during PCCG sessions before moving to a community-wide vote. Ultimately, more than 700 students, teachers, and parents selected “Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow” as the theme for the new academic year. This process not only reflects our respect for collective wisdom but also embeds genuine student participation in school governance, ensuring our development aligns with the shared vision of our community.
