据外媒透露，小米澎湃OS 4将会使用Rust和Flutter语言重构系统应用，并移除先前MIUI时期的遗留代码，以增强新系统的流畅度。
通过近期的澎湃OS 3 Beta版更新中还可以发现，目前已有部分系统应用率先使用了新语言重构，并在应用版本号的后缀新增了R的额外标识，推测是为小米澎湃OS 4提前铺路。
