2月25日，韩国政府发布数据显示，2025年韩国新生儿数量为25.45万名，同比增长6.8%（增加1.61万名），实现自2024年以来连续第二年增长。2025年韩国总和生育率为0.8，同比上升0.05，这是总和生育率自2021年以来首次回升至0.8。
韩国政府分析称，新生儿数量的增长归因于结婚登记数量的增加，以及2021年以来处于生育黄金年龄的34岁及以下女性人口数量的持续增加。
