房地美12月16日宣布，董事会已任命肯尼·M·史密斯（Kenny M. Smith）为CEO，12月17日起生效。史密斯同时将担任公司董事会成员。根据声明，史密斯此前曾在德勤工作27年。
据报道，美国财长贝森特表示，美国政府正在“非常审慎地”推进房利美和房地美的IPO。IPO将在明年“某个时候”完成。
