近日，小岛秀夫在官博上晒出了一组图片，并配文介绍称是和索尼旗下《地平线》系列开发商Guerrilla Games的合影。
值得一提的是，小岛秀夫和Guerrilla Games的关系相当密切。2016年他在离开科乐美后成立了Kojima Productions，当时Guerrilla向他开放了旗下Decima引擎的使用权——这款引擎正是用于开发《地平线：零之曙光》的核心技术。借此，小岛制作得以用Decima引擎打造《死亡搁浅》，而Guerrilla团队也在技术上提供了长期支持。
小岛的这组照片也引起了很多玩家的猜想，许多人认为Guerrilla Games正在开发《地平线》的新作。
