中国工程院8月20日公布2025年院士增选有效候选人名单，中国科学院院士增选有效候选人639人，中国工程院院士增选有效候选人660人，其中农业学部有效候选83人。后续将进行外部同行专家评选、院士增选大会选举，选出新增选院士。
院士增选每两年进行一次，2025年两院院士增选工作于4月25日启动，中国科学院院士、中国工程院院士增选名额各不超过100名。
