澎湃新闻记者从相关方面获悉，原南京军区副司令员林炳尧将军，因病于2025年8月18日逝世，享年82岁。
林炳尧
公开资料显示，林炳尧，1944年出生于福建晋江，1961年入伍，1964年入党。
林炳尧入伍后历任班长、排长、连长、炮兵科长、师副参谋长、旅参谋长、副师长、师长、军参谋长、副军长，1996年3月任第31集团军军长，2000年12月任南京军区副司令员。
林炳尧于1995年7月晋升少将军衔，2002年7月晋升中将军衔。
