缅甸仰光当地社会福利组织透露，8月9日上午，仰光市巴汉镇区Maharsi Tharthana Yeikthar禅修中心附近的市政垃圾池内发现一具约一周大的婴儿遗体。
拾荒者在垃圾池中发现用隆基（筒裙）包裹的新生儿遗体后，向有关部门报告。该遗体已出现腐烂迹象，推测为男婴，可能于夜间被遗弃于此。
据了解，仰光市市政垃圾池及垃圾桶内遗弃新生儿事件频发。今年6月30日凌晨，市中心拉达镇区马哈班都拉大道18巷路口的市政垃圾桶内，就曾发现过一名新生女婴的遗体。
