丰泰基奥今年夏天在邓肯-罗宾逊的先签后换中加盟热火，他的合同还剩1年830万美元。
热火阵中目前有14名正式合同球员，下赛季总薪资1.892亿，下赛季的奢侈税线为1.878亿。如果用延伸条款裁掉丰泰基奥，热火可以分三年支付丰泰基奥下赛季830万的薪水，同时把总薪资降到奢侈税线以下。
