据智利媒体报道，智利国家铜业公司下属的一座铜矿7月31日下午因地震发生坍塌，造成至少1名工人死亡，另有5人失踪，搜寻工作仍在持续进行。该铜业公司称，事发铜矿位于智利中部兰卡瓜市，地震引发的铜矿坍塌事故还造成9人受伤。事件发生后，智利政府发布了临时措施，暂停该矿井的地下作业。（央视新闻）
