在鲁内连续两个6-4两局领先的情况下，智利选手贾里连续开轰，最终以7-5、6-3、6-4连赢三局，全场打出31记ACE将比赛逆转。这也是贾里职业生涯第一次战胜TOP10选手。
鲁内也称为继梅德韦杰夫之后，第二位在今年温网男单首轮出局的TOP10选手。
