6月27日，渝厦高铁重庆段首发G8699次列车从重庆东站驶出。当日，渝厦高铁重庆东至黔江段、重庆东站两个项目同步投用。
渝厦高铁重庆东至黔江段途经南岸区、巴南区、南川区、武隆区、彭水县、黔江区，正线全长242公里，设计时速350公里。重庆东站设有29条到发线、28个站台，可实现中长途高铁、环线通勤、市域铁路的多功能融合。(首席记者 龙帆 摄影报道/视觉重庆)
