6月21日，华中科技大学发布消息， 华中科技大学获捐一笔1.8亿元人民币的个人匿名善款。
据了解，这是华中科技大学有史以来获得的单笔最大捐赠。捐赠人希望此次捐赠能起到抛砖引玉的作用，吸引更多校友参与华科的发展，共同为华科的成长贡献力量。
Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) announced on Saturday that it had received a substantial anonymous personal donation totaling 180 million yuan – the largest single gift in the university's history. The donor expressed hope that the contribution would encourage more alumni to support HUST's development.
据介绍，华中科技大学是国家教育部直属重点综合性大学，由原华中理工大学、同济医科大学、武汉城市建设学院于2000年5月26日合并成立，是国家“211工程”重点建设和“985工程”建设高校之一，是首批“双一流”建设高校。
