安徽寿县是文化和旅游部公布的全国35个端午习俗集中分布区之一。每到端午节，当地除了挂艾草、绣香包、包粽子等习俗外，很多民间手工艺人还用传统技艺制作“虎头鞋”给孩子穿，除了表达驱邪镇灾的祝福，还能体现孩子虎头虎脑、虎虎有生气之意。
