5月28日，在法国总统马克龙访问雅加达期间，印尼和法国同意加强在国防、关键矿产、农业和林业等领域的合作。双方还签署了文化、创意经济、体育、交通和灾害风险管理等领域合作意向书。此外，法国和印尼央行，印尼主权财富基金Danantara和法国矿业公司Eramet，以及金鹰集团和道达尔能源，也分别签署了协议。
