5月18日，多哈世乒赛男单首轮，奥运亚军莫雷加德4-0击败奥地利的勒文科晋级下一轮。赛后他接受采访表示，自己的肩膀有些不适。
莫雷加德说：“我也不知道肩膀怎么了，今天早上起来就有些疼，限制了自己的击球发力，不过总体上还好，不必担心。”
他的哥哥兼教练Malte表示：“目前还不清楚具体情况，有时候他会感觉有些僵硬，今天晚上会让理疗师进行治疗。”
