当地时间5月12日，巴基斯坦股市大涨。
巴基斯坦证券交易所发布公告称，巴基斯坦股票暂停交易60分钟。暂停交易前，巴基斯坦卡拉奇KSE100指数涨超12%，上涨12949.43点，现报116650.12点；巴基斯坦KSE30指数涨超9%。
与此同时，印度股市亦大涨，截至13:44，印度SENSEX30指数涨幅为2.7%。
