4月14日，中国驻登巴萨总领事张志昇在社交平台上发文并配图点出白宫新闻发言人卡罗琳·莱维特的着装系中国制造。
文中提到，“攻击中国制造是工作，享受中国制造是生活，裙子上漂亮的蕾丝被一家中国公司的员工认出是他们公司生产的产品。”
A Chinese diplomat has pointed out that a dress worn by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt had lace made in China.
"Accusing China is business. Buying China is life. The beautiful lace on the dress was recognized by an employee of a Chinese company as its product," Zhang Zhisheng, consul general of China in Denpasar, Indonesia, wrote on social media platform.
图中白宫发言人的着装被网友发现是中国制造，有网友留言称：“是我们厂染的，都是我对的色。”
He attached a picture of the dress, and screenshots from netizens on the social media platform, including the person who identified the lace on Leavitt's red outfit as being sourced from a factory in China.
此前，不少网友贴图表示，卡罗琳·莱维特所穿的某英国品牌服装，在相关商品详情页可以明显看到"Made in China"字样。
