APL Materials专刊：光热材料

Materials have the power to relay and convert energy. This Special Topic focuses on the recent scientific advances related to materials that turn light into heat, i.e., photothermal materials. Such materials have received renewed interest owing to potential applications in cancer therapies and contributions to photocatalysis.

Specifically, APL Materials aims to provide a forum for the broad, interdisciplinary field of photothermal science. Metrology and characterization topics include the development and utilization of new instrumentation for the measurement of photothermal properties and temperature at the time-space limit. Materials development topics include nanomaterials, structured materials, and new compositions leading to manipulation of the photothermal characteristics. Lastly, demonstrations of applications of new techniques and materials are welcome, across analytical, biological, and medical sciences.
