近日，荣昌区昌州街道宝城寺社区开展“一勺米”志愿服务活动。志愿者们手提米袋，共走访300余户居民，加上固定点募米，共募集约230斤大米。随后，该社区联合社区老年食堂，将募集到的米煮成饭，邀请社区内残疾、低保、高龄和空巢老人用餐。
此次活动剩余的“爱心米”将继续投入到公益活动中，定期给社区困难老人送餐，为在社区老年食堂就餐的老人免除米饭钱。
