泰国体育局局长Kongsak Yodmanee当地时间1月19日表示，泰国当局正研究2027年举办世界一级方程式锦标赛（F1）的可能性。
据悉，一工作委员会已将乍都乍地区选为潜在比赛场地，将提交给国际汽联评估可行性。若获国际汽联批准，泰国将提交举办F1赛事的申请，目标2027年成行。
