北京市十六届人大常委会第十四次会议通过《北京市自动驾驶汽车条例》，明年4月起生效。通过路面测试及安全评估的自动驾驶车辆，可申请在道路进行测试。该条例鼓励在北京市应用自动驾驶科技，当局计划最终允许无人驾驶公共巴士及的士行驶，并鼓励建设人工智能道路基建以支持自动驾驶。
