11月22日到24日，海军海南舰和海军长沙舰分别在香港招商局码头和昂船洲军港码头举行舰艇开放活动。开放第一天，千余名来自香港和澳门的市民来到海南舰登舰参观，与海军官兵互动交流。
在现场，参观学生花式向祖国告白，“海南舰真的是太靓仔了”、“我爱中国”！也有市民激动表示，“祖国的强大有你们在，我们感到很安全。”
