胡哲安2-0战胜队友王子峻成功夺冠，时隔八年再次为中国队拿下世青赛男单冠军。
中国队上一次夺得羽毛球世青赛男单冠军还要追随到2016年，当时的加拿大羽毛球世青赛上，中国队孙飞翔夺得男单冠军。
