“买田阳羡吾将老。从来只为溪山好。”900多年前，一代文豪苏轼买田阳羡、归老常州，也算是了却了多年漂泊生涯的一个心愿。

"Buying land in Yangxian, I plan to grow old there. Always drawn to the beauty of the mountains and streams." Over 900 years ago, the great literary figure Su Shi bought land in Yangxian and retired to Changzhou, fulfilling his long-held wish after years of wandering.

苏轼一生中出入常州11次，停留时间较长的有5次。苏轼的朋友蒋之奇就是阳羡人，苏轼在好友的陪同下，赏此地青山、绿水、茶田、竹海，有了永居于此的想法，并和好友定下鸡黍之约。

Su Shi entered and left Changzhou 11 times throughout his life, staying for extended periods on five occasions. His friend Jiang Zhiqi was a native of Yangxian, and, accompanied by his friend, Su Shi admired the area's green mountains, clear waters, tea fields, and bamboo forests. He even contemplated settling there permanently, making a pact with his friend to share meals together.

苏轼的足迹遍布常州的各个角落，后人在宜兴修建了东坡阁，来纪念东坡先生和这里的不凡情缘。

Su Shi's footprints covered every corner of Changzhou, and later generations built the Dongpo Pavilion in Yixing to commemorate his extraordinary connection with the place.
