9月16日，中文在线日本子公司COL JAPAN宣布推出垂直型短剧应用UniReel，将于11月正式上线，是中文在线继Sereal之后推出的又一海外短剧应用。同时，COL JAPAN与LINE Yahoo、博报堂、HUUM成立垂直型短剧委员会。UniReel的首个企划是日本电视台首部原创短剧作品，同时是短剧史上首部本格校园剧。
