菲媒记者发布视频称，菲海警9701号船回到巴拉望省的港口后，4名菲海岸警卫队员被担架抬下送医，并称其靠着米粥维持了数周。
4月17日以来菲海警9701号船，非法滞留中国仙宾礁近5个月，中方依法对9701号船采取管控措施，菲方多次企图组织强行运补均遭失败。9月14日菲9701号船撤离中国仙宾礁潟湖。
15日，中国驻菲律宾大使馆驳斥美驻菲大使涉南海“九段线”错误言论，敦促美方停止挑拨离间和煽动对抗。
