8月28日，郑州市自然资源规划局公示了中州大道（宇通路-京广南路）道路规划，规划为城市主干路，红线宽50米，规划路段长4589.15米。建成后将达到双向8车道的标准。
据郑州市城建局今年1月份的消息，中州大道南段（宇通立交-京广南路）项目属于郑州计划今年开工建设10条以上道路其中一条。
