7月19日，香港公司注册处公布，上半年新成立的本地公司有66,734间；截至上月底根据《公司条例》注册的本地公司总数达1,440,935间，创历史新高。注册非香港公司有14,959间，同创新高。上半年有501间非香港公司在港新设立营业地点并按《公司条例》注册。
