8月28日，南阳城区人民南路（七一路至淯阳桥段）快车道通车。
28日中午，记者从这里经过时发现，这段新修道路为双向8车道，绿化带和两侧非机动车道雏形也都已经显现。这段道路的贯通，也让附近滨河路、梅溪路近期猛增的交通压力得到了有效缓解。
