据法新社报道，当地时间8月6日，古巴当局从石油储备基地大火中找回了第一具遇难人员遗体。
8月6日凌晨古巴马坦萨斯省一处石油储备基地发生大火，已造成77人受伤，17名消防员失踪。目前，火势仍在继续，附近居民已被疏散，古巴政府请求有燃料经验的友好国家提供帮助和建议。
美国驻哈瓦那大使馆表示“深切哀悼”，并表示正在就这一事件与古巴官员“保持联系”。
