新浪电影今日（7月29日）消息，米高梅失去了《古墓丽影》翻拍权，归还给了游戏公司和格雷厄姆·金的GK影业，也引起了好莱坞多家公司的激烈争抢。随着版权翻新，米高梅已运作几年的《古墓丽影2》也被取消。
新版的《古墓丽影》电影在2018年推出第一部，由艾丽西亚·维坎德主演，全球票房2.75亿美元，安吉丽娜·朱莉主演了旧版的《古墓丽影1、2》，全球票房4.32亿。
