本月以来，施秉县持续高温，辖区出现干旱现象，导致部分经济作物濒临旱死。8月4日，接到城关镇高速公路西出口果园种植示范点果农求助电话，称100余亩猕猴桃果园出现干旱，部分果树已旱死。大队立即组织指战员前往果园种植示范点送水，为果农果树浇水，缓解燃眉之急。浇水过程中，指战员利用车载水炮，采取高空喷射的方式对果园种植点进行浇灌，经过指战员连续奋战，累计送水36吨，将消防车所到之处进行全面浇灌。（罗福波 潘胜文）
