2月17日，据媒体报道，现年99岁的菲利普亲王感到身体不适后入院治疗。白金汉宫方面称此事与新冠无关，入院是“预防性措施”，但并未透露其具体病情。消息人士称当时菲利普亲王乘坐汽车抵达并自行走入医院。菲利普亲王将留院休养观察几天，94岁的女王仍留在温莎城堡，两人上个月都已接种新冠疫苗。
