「棋魂」系列原作者堀田由美和漫画作者小畑健公开了庆祝「网剧棋魂」开播的手写信。
国产电视剧「棋魂」由刘畅担任导演，胡先煦、张超、郝富申主演，讲述了六年级小学生小光在爷爷家偶然寻宝的时候，打翻了旧棋盘并邂逅了平安时代天才棋士藤原佐为，小光从此与藤原佐为并肩走上成为棋士道路的故事。
