当地时间8月31日，伊朗武装部队总参谋部发表声明表示，伊朗在尊重邻国国家主权的前提下，绝不容忍任何侵略行为，并将对此类行为予以更加强烈的回应。
声明强调，美军别无选择，只能撤出该地区。那些为美国侵略伊朗提供便利的人应该明白，伊朗武装部队各部门将并肩作战，粉碎并打击任何侵略源头。
