美国航空（American Airlines）宣布，自8月25日起，将停止在部分跨大陆航线及夏威夷航线上，为精英常旅客提供从经济舱免费升级至商务舱的服务。 今后，AAdvantage会员在这些航线上，将只能进入免费升级至高级经济舱的候补名单，而不再有机会直接升至商务舱。这一调整意味着，原本被视为精英会员核心福利之一的洲际免费升舱待遇，将进一步缩水。
