据中国地震台网正式测定：8月7日13时8分在四川宜宾市高县（北纬28.51度，东经104.67度）发生4.9级地震，震源深度6公里。震中附近的高县、珙县相关负责人告诉记者，地震震感明显，两地正在集中精力排查灾情险情，目前暂未收到人员伤亡报告。
