据《每日体育报》消息，布宜诺斯艾利斯一家印刷店免费为球迷印制马岛主权标语，并复刻了半决赛时横幅的字体。
据媒体拍摄的画面，球衣上印刷的“马岛属于阿根廷”复刻了阿根廷在半决赛赛后现场横幅所用字体，该横幅最初由阿根廷球迷在球场内举起，随后洛塞尔索要过来，并联合阿根廷全队高举展示。英国方面已要求国际足联对此事展开调查。
