据荔枝新闻，受持续洪水影响，广西南宁横州市部分村镇中私人养殖及养蛇厂的蛇被冲走流窜。目前，已有蛇窜入居民楼。 另据潇湘晨报，当地养殖户雷先生介绍，当地主要养殖眼镜蛇、王锦蛇和水律蛇三类，其中眼镜蛇具有毒性。
