7月5日23时许，大连市区上空开始电闪雷鸣，渐强的东南风将雾气送进内陆。市气象部门发布的天气实况显示，5日21时至6日8时，全市平均降雨量19.9毫米。最大降雨量109.1毫米，近海、沿岸及内陆出现7～9级阵风，部分地区出现雷电。
