6月20日，据中央气象台消息，今年第7号台风“米克拉”生成（英文名称：Mekkhala；名字来源：泰国；名称意义：雷电天使）。预计，“米克拉”将以每小时15～20公里左右的速度向西偏北方向移动，强度逐渐增强。
