5月18日，“雪龙2”号极地科考破冰船返回国内抵达上海，标志着中国第四十二次南极考察圆满结束。
本次南极考察由“雪龙”号和“雪龙2”号两船共同保障，2025年11月1日从上海同时出发，“雪龙”号于2026年4月9日返回。“雪龙2”号在完成南极普里兹湾“秋季南大洋生态系统”联合航次任务后，于5月18日返回，历时199天，航程约3.5万海里。
