团聚居留适用亲属范围

Only direct relatives specified by the official can apply for family reunion residence renewal, in line with the guidelines of the National Immigration Administration Government Service Platform:

仅官方明确的直系亲属可申请团聚居留续签，严格遵循国家移民管理局政务服务平台指引，具体范围如下：

1. Spouse: Legally married spouse of a Chinese citizen or a foreigner with permanent residence in China.

1. 配偶：中国公民或在中国获得永久居留资格外国人的合法配偶。

2. Parents: Biological parents, step-parents or adoptive parents of the applicant (including parents of the spouse).

2. 父母：申请人的生父母、继父母、养父母（含配偶的父母）。

3. Children: Unmarried biological children, step-children or adopted children under 18 years old; unmarried adult children who are unable to live independently due to illness or disability.

3. 子女：未满18周岁的未婚亲生子女、继子女、养子女；因疾病、残疾等原因无法独立生活的未婚成年子女。

4. Other Direct Relatives: Grandparents, maternal grandparents, adult grandchildren and their spouses (in line with the official definition of direct relatives).

Renewal Conditions (Must Meet All)

Based on the Q1 family reunion visa, all the following conditions must be met to renew to a 2-3 year long-term residence permit:

Genuine Kinship: The kinship with the sponsor (Chinese citizen or foreigner with permanent residence) is real and legal, and the relevant certificates are complete.
亲属关系真实：与担保人（中国公民或持永久居留的外国人）的亲属关系真实合法，相关证明材料齐全。
Stable Residence: Having a stable place of residence in China (with valid lease contract or real estate certificate), and the residence address is consistent with the information on the residence permit.
住所稳定：在中国有稳定住所（持有有效租赁合同或房产证），且居住地址与居留许可登记信息一致。
Compliance Record: Abide by Chinese laws and regulations, no illegal stay, illegal employment or other bad records.

合规停留：遵守中国法律法规，无非法居留、非法就业等不良记录。

Valid Stay: The Q1 visa/residence permit is within the valid period, and the application for renewal is submitted before the expiration.
停留有效：Q1签证/居留许可在有效期内，且在到期前提交续签申请。

Official Materials List

All materials must comply with the standards of the National Immigration Administration Government Service Platform, and the core materials are as follows:

所有材料需符合国家移民管理局政务服务平台标准，核心清单如下，缺一不可：

1. Valid passport (original) and current Q1 residence permit.

2. Kinship certificate: Marriage certificate (for spouse), birth certificate (for children), notarized kinship certificate (for other direct relatives); foreign certificates need to be notarized and certified by Chinese embassies and consulates.
