树叶的正面细胞排列紧密，含有更多的叶绿体，重量更重；背面细胞排列疏松，重量较轻。当树叶飘落时，重量较重的正面会先着地，所以我们看到的落叶，大多是正面朝下、背面朝上。这是自然重力作用的结果，也是树叶自身结构特点决定的常见自然现象。
