2月23日，湖南湘阴一网民发文称，她33岁的弟弟放烟花时炸膛炸中胸部身亡。家属称烟花未正常升空。
24日，记者从事发地社区居委会获悉，事发22日，死者当场身亡，烟花质量是否有问题正在调查中，多部门已介入处置。
记者从湘滨镇政府获悉，事发地为烟花限放区，此事为意外事件，相关调查工作正在进行中。
