当地时间20日，一架美国空军的C-5M军用运输机降落在英国的米尔登霍尔空军基地。该型号军用运输机是美国空军现役最大、运载能力最强的战略运输机，可以运输大型装备。
据悉，英国政府尚未允许美国使用英国军事基地对伊朗发动袭击。根据英美长期协议，美国在使用英国军事基地发起军事行动前，必须获得英国的批准。
